Monk Live On Vinyl LP!
The legendary Thelonious Monk’s appearance at the legendary Newport festival in 1963 when the so-called “High Priest of Bop” brought one of his greatest quartets featuring master Charlie Rouse on tenor sax, Butch Warren on bass, and Frankie Dunlop ondrums. This is a great performance based on five of Monk’s classic compositions: “Criss Cross”, “Light Blue”, “Nutty”, “Blue Monk” and “Epistrophy”. This is pure Monk’s essence, don’t miss it.
